ODM hints at Raila’s 2022 plans

Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has hinted at the plans of their party leader ahead of 2022 polls.

In a statement issued by the Party on Monday through twitter, Odinga is committed to supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta before he completes his second, and final term in government.

The political party noted that the former Prime Minister remains active in the affairs of the outfit, adding that Odinga has been attending all crucial meetings to address matters affecting the party.

The party however noted that what Odinga has not done and will not do is to involve himself in politics of 2022 as at now.

“We want our members and the general public to know that our PL @RailaOdinga is very much involved in party affairs and he is always present for party meetings/activities. However, what he has not done and will not do is to involve himself in politics of 2022 as at now,” read the post.

The ODM leader together with President Kenyatta have on several occasions warned political leaders against engaging in early 2022 campaigns and instead concentrate on delivering development projects to Kenyans.

Deputy President Dr William Ruto has been seen engaging in early political campaigns in a move to succeed President Kenyatta in 2022.
