Why Man City Pep Guardiola GRILLED Raheem Sterling On Wembley Pitch After 6-0 FA Cup Win

Did you see Pep Guardiola GRILL Raheem Sterling on Wembley pitch after 6-0 FA Cup win?

City became the first team in English footballing history to win the domestic treble at Wembley yesterday.

Having won the Carabao Cup in February, followed by the Premier League title last Sunday, many regard this Sky Blues side as one of the finest ever.

And yesterday’s drubbing of Watford showed just why that is the case, as they rose to the occasion perfectly.

A star-studded squad spells out just why City have been so successful this season – but there is one person behind that should take most of the plaudits. That man is Guardiola.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has garnered a reputation for working his players incredibly hard is his pursuit for glory.

The Spaniard is widely seen as a perfectionist, regularly interacting with his players if things aren’t going his side’s way.

And that was evident yesterday as he gave Sterling a grilling while the rest of the City team were celebrating their victory.

The entire squad and Guardiola made the trip up to the Royal Box to collect the trophy from the likes of Prince William.

And City continued their celebrations on the pitch, with as fireworks and champagne spread across the hallowed Wembley turf.

But Sterling couldn’t enjoy himself too much, as he was taken for a stern lecture by his manager.

It is not known exactly what Guardiola was unhappy with about Sterling’s display, but the Spaniard used several hand gestures to get his point across, before eventually giving his player a hug.

Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand doesn’t think Sterling enjoyed the public dressing down, though he insists the Englishman will thank his manager later on.

“I love that, and that’s what the players will feed off,” Ferdinand said.

“Raheem will be sitting there going ‘I want to enjoy the day’.

“But he’ll look back and go ‘thank you’.”
