Two out as Kenya Premier League side Ulinzi Stars head to Chemelil

Ulinzi Stars Head coach Benjamin Nyangweso will once again be forced to deal with injury and illness to key men as he leads the team to Awasi for the Round 31 game against Chemelil Sugar at Chemelil Complex in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) on Sunday 19 May.

Defensive kingpin Bonaventure Muchika is out of the game with a groin injury sustained in training and John Njuguna will also be unavailable for the game, after failing to recover in time from a bout of malaria.

As Team Doctor John Imboywa confirmed the duo will be out, he also revealed that Brian Birgen has just resumed training after suffering a facial cut in the game against Posta Rangers and thus the Chemelil game comes a bit too soon.

The good news for the coach is that midfielders Ibrahim Shambi, Daniel Waweru and Boniface Okinyi, all who have been missing in the recent matches, will be available for selection after resuming training this week.

Waweru was out nursing an ankle injury sustained in the game against Western Stima in April while Shambi and Okinyi picked thigh and groin injuries in the game against Bandari at the start of May at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa.
