The NINE Players That Could Have Played Their LAST Game For Real Madrid Today

Real Madrid ended a poor season with a 2-0 defeat to Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Zinedine Zidane is Madrid’s third manager of the season following unsuccessful stints for Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari.

The Frenchman returned to the club less than a year after departing and knows he is in for a busy summer as he sets about overhauling an aging squad.

Zidane oversaw three successive Champions League triumphs during his tenure, but plenty of the players who joined him on that successful journey could be heading for the exit door.

The most high profile of those is Gareth Bale whose future is a constant source of speculation.

Signed for a world-record fee in 2013, the Welshman has struggled to settle in the Spanish capital and does not have the affection of the Madrid fans.

His mammoth wages are the biggest stumbling block for any team looking to sign a player who has been hampered by injuries for a number of years.

The likes of Manchester United and Tottenham have been touted as possible destinations, but it is believed the 29-year-old is determined to stick it out in Spain.

Defensive trio Nacho, Jesus Vallejo and Sergio Reguilon could all be set for pastures new.

Nacho has been part of the furniture at Madrid for several years but has never stamped his authority on a starting berth and his squad player status may see him moved on.

Reguilon has enjoyed something of a breakthrough season and was especially prominent under Solari, Zidane though does not appear as keen.

Goalkeeper Keylor Navas is being linked with a move away despite playing regularly under Zidane during his first stint at the club.

The Chilean has been usurped by summer signing Thibaut Courtois and is keen to play and may have to leave to do so.

Isco is another player who could surprisingly be ushered out of the Bernabeu after six years and almost 300 appearances.

The 27-year-old was a favourite under Zidane previously, but the Frenchman has already told the midfielder his minutes will be limited and the club would consider offers for him.

Forward Mariano and midfielders Marcos Llorente and Dani Ceballos are also seeking exits, all for different reasons.

The young midfield duo are both after more minutes and Llorente has been strongly linked with Atletico Madrid, although Los Blancos are not keen on a cross city move.
