Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi Has out to rubbish claims associating him that he had pocketed money from Dubai gold traders.
Sudi who had been rumoured along with other top politicians to have benefited from a large amount of money paid by the Dubai’s royal family for gold was quoted telling ODM leader Raila Odinga “Sitishwi na huyo mkora wa Dubai (I am not afraid of the Dubai conman).”
Oscar Sudi rather said that the fake gold scandal is aimed at destabilizing the existing relationship between Deputy President William Ruto and President Kenyatta by the opposition. He has repeatedly maintained that no one is going to stop him from campaigning for Deputy President William Ruto by linking him to the gold scandal.
“Wewe Raila na watu yako Wetangula mliiba peke yenu, chukua msalaba wenu peke yenu. Hatutaki tena siasa duni ya kugawanya watu. Wewe ni mwizi, utawindwa na serikali ya Dubai (If you are a thief, you will be hunted by the Dubai government)”, said Oscar Sudi.
Through facebook page, the lawmaker noted that the scam had unearthed “dishonest underworld dealings”.
“Regarding the fake gold scandal, I want to urge all those adversely mentioned in the scandal to carry their own cross. Every one of them should be held responsible for the specific role each one of them played in such shameful, dishonest underworld dealing,” he posted.
In a leaked audio, a person alleged to be Senator Moses Wetangula is heard trying to calm down an Arab man by using the names of President Uhuru Kenyatta, opposition leader Raila Odinga, and Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.
