ODM no longer alive to the concerns of the people, Says Analyst Manyora

Political Analyst Herman Manyora now thinks that the Handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Leader Raila Odinga was not a good move at all.

According to Prof Manyora, the ODM party is no longer using its tactics for the welfare of the common mwananchi simply because they are part of the government and think certain things should not be mentioned.

While speaking in an Interview her noted saying, “he ODM leadership sees their latest tactics as being clever but I think they are not clever. The leaders are no longer alive to the concerns of the people.”

In addition to his statement, “A lot has happened both in Jubilee and ODM. Definitely, ODM has its focus shifted, and this has happened because of its collaboration with Jubilee, where it thinks certain things they cannot do or question.”

He further added saying that the party has lost its footing in the country.

Prof Manyora’s view has been similar to that of many Kenyans as well as political figures. A lot has been seen in political seen especially events where the ODM party could have raised their voice.

Just recently ODM Leader was heckled in Muhoroni area by the residents who were waving placards, objected to the establishment of an industrial park in Ombeyi, claiming they were being forcefully evicted from the land to pave way for the Standard Gauge Railway feasibility project claiming that the Government did not consult them about the project.

The residents further accused him of using the Handshake to grab their land.

Prof Manyora further insisted that the party has lost its footing in the country.
