Burna Boy crowned African Artiste of the year

Nigerian Star Burna Boy has been crowned African Artiste of the year in the just-concluded Vodafone Ghana music Awards.

The 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards went down last night  at the new dome at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) and brought together musicians and celebrities from Ghana as well as from parts of Africa.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA formerly Ghana Music Awards) was established in 2000 by Charter House Production to celebrate Ghanaian musicians.

The awards are presented annually, and are broadcast live on GH One. The awards ceremony also featured performances by top artists.

In regard to this win Burna Boy gave thanks to his fans for the votes and  says that they should expect more madness from him.

Burna Boy’s win comes after his nomination into BET Awards 2019.

The Nigerian Star has been nominated under the Best International Act Award category alongside Mr. Eazi and South African Hip Hop rapper AKA.

Also included in the category are Dave and Giggs from the UK with Aya Nakamura and Dosseh from France.

Burna Boy’s music is currently competing at the global level and he is undeniably one of the best Afrobeat artistes of all the time.
