KHRC argues that the High Court Ruled that the government should not impose any deadline to the registration exercise.
On 1st April 2019, the High Court gave a ruling with the following orders:
1. Registration SHALL NOT be compulsory
2. No citizen shall be denied services for not acquiring the #hudumanamba
3. DNA and GPS SHALL NOT be collected
4. The information collected SHALL NOT be shared— KHRC (@thekhrc) May 17, 2019
They have urged Kenyans to continue with their normal daily activities as the process is continuous.
