AFC Leopards ready to battle for bragging rights as they welcome Gor

AFC Leopard coach Andre Casa Mbungo admits that Gor Mahia have done well this season by he is keen to fight for the bragging rights.

The Big Cats will be chasing the first win over Gor Mahia since 2016 where they won 1-0 at Moi Kasarani. The Mashemeji Derby is set to be played on Sunday 19th May at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani and it will be live on KTN News and our Official Facebook Page.

“Gor Mahia has done better this season and I think they will win the league but we don’t want this particular game to be the one that gives them the title. This is a derby and the 90 minutes will be what determines the winner,” Mbungo told KPL.

“We have prepared very well although we have a few injury concerns. I hope to have a full squad by Sunday. We are ready to battle for the bragging rights and the three points as well but the most important thing for me now that the season is almost over is to plan for the next season by recruiting wisely and building a team that can challenge for the title.” He added.

Gor Mahia have been dominant winning the three of the last four meetings.
