For the Past few weeks, the people of Matungu Sub-County in Kakamega County have been living in fear over continued Killings as a deadly gang continue’s to rain havoc on innocent citizens.
The Nightmare may soon be over all thanks to Interior CS Fred Matiang’i who today visited the area and assured residents that security will be boosted in the area.
The CS has promised to ensure that all the gangs shedding innocent blood will be rounded up and dealt with accordingly.
More than ten people have already lost their lives.
The residents of Matungu have been pointing fingers at a Former Cabinet Secretary they are all afraid of mentioning.
The fear of being targeted, having seen first-hand the brutality of the gangs that have sprouted and grown out of the Politician’s generosity, mute all the courage in them to voice his name on the record.
CS Fred Matiangi has divulged that the government is working on a radical reshuffle of top police officers in Kakamega concurrently with the deployment of more GSU troops to bolster security in the area following a spate of sickening killings.
In Kenya, we know that politicians from either side of the political divide have connections with gangs, that come handy during electoral contests.
