The immediate former Government Spokersman Erick Kiraithe has been redeployed to the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology as Principal Administrative Secretary (CAS).

Kiraithe was replaced by Colonel (Rtd) Cyrus Oguna, a career military officer on May 7, 2019.
Col. Oguna is the former Kenya Defense Forces Spokesman.

While being replaced by Col Oguna after facing president Uhuru Kenyatta’s axe, Kiraithe congratulated his successor, arguing that he was up to the task.
