Being born by a superstar has it’s perks but what can’t be taken away is pure talent their kids inherit from them.
Multi faceted singer and actress J.Lo is undeniably talent filled and while it is assumed that her kids are just as talented, no one prepared the world for the strong pair of lungs her daughter displayed over the weekend.
Over the weekend, J.Lo shared a video to her YouTube channel showing her behind-the-scenes preparations for the first live performance of her new single “Medicine” at the Today Summer Concert Series.
But for once, the pop diva wasn’t the centre of attention, thanks to a starring turn from her daughter, Emme Maribel Muñiz.
As J.Lo takes a break from choreography to practice her vocals, her 11-year-old makes a surprise visit to the studio, where she joins her mum at the piano for a powerful rendition of Alicia Keys’ 2003 hit “If I Ain’t Got You.”
With a little encouragement from her mum, Emme then belts out the chorus as a proud J.lo looks on, even throwing a sassy finger point into the mix.
As expected, Emme absolutely kills it, even singing alongside her mum for a second before the songs wraps up. Check out the mother-daughter moment at the four-minute mark:
“We should have her come out and do something on tour,” Lopez asks Emma after embracing her daughter with a big hug. “Want to put a little piece in this show? We’ll see, we’ll check it out. You don’t have to.”
She has a star in the making and we can’t wait to see what she blooms into.
