Detectives drawn from the DCI have nabbed a man suspected to have defiled a Form Two student at a Nairobi Secondary School.
The 29-year old man is said to be among a crew which visited the school to act plays based on literature books.
The man, according to police statements, the suspect has been on the run since he committed the crime on the 2nd of June.
Police on Tuesday evening nabbed him in Kilimani Estate before he was taken to be identified by the victim.
After the positive identification, police have undertaken a further probe into the DNA of the suspect.
This comes hot on the heels of another case in Homabay where two brothers were detained by police after they abducted and gang-raped a form two student for close to a week.
While police held the brothers, officers are still pursuing another suspect believed to be one of the accomplices in the crime.
