Barcelona learnt a lesson this summer and according to reports from their storeroom, the Spanish giants are looking forward to filling every void to avoid falling in the same trap they fell into this season and last season.

For that reason, Barca have wandered the market and have identified players who can help them make redeem their image next season.

Among them include Ajax star Frenkie de Jong, Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann. In fact, they had pocketed De Jong back in January.

Most notably, after a good Champions League display, Barca have spotted sensational Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt. The Blaugrana have tried every means to secure his signature but have experienced several drawbacks especially from the Dutchman’s agent Mino Raiola.

Barca had agreed to sign the 19-year old for a deal of € 60 million but his agent demands a €14m commission as part of the agreed €70m transfer fee between Ajax and Barcelona.

And now, the Spanish giants have informed Mino Raiola that they will maintain the offer made a few weeks ago and there will be no last minute improvement despite heavy pressure.

They also told De Ligt that they’ve made their offer and it is upon him to decide.

Earlier on, De Ligt had stated his desire to play for Barcelona alongside his Ajax teammate De jong, who has also encouraged him to come to Barca.
