Kajiado MP Counsels Young Couples amid Rising Cases of Murder in Kenya

Kajiado North Constituency Member of Parliament Joseph Manje has called on young couples not to engage in the murder of their partners. Manje said men should let the wives go back to their homes rather than murdering them in cold blood. Manje observed that cases of murder have increased in the country.

“When we were young we used to send them back to their homes no one is allowed to kill a fellow human being those are curses you are inviting,” he said. Several cases of men murdering their wives have been reported in the constituency and Kenya at large.

Last year a man burnt his wife using petrol in their home in Ongata Rongai. There has also been an increase in suicide cases across the country. Manje also ordered parents to ensure their children are enrolled in schools and promised to award them bursaries for those from poor families.

The MP had attended bursaries event in Ngong hosted by Kajiado County Governor Joseph ole Lenku, more than five thousand students benefited from the bursary.
