Why Ruto Should be Afraid of Uhuru’s Silent Moves

Moves made in the dark and in silence are very dangerous, Deputy President William Ruto should be very worried.

These were words used by political analyst Herman Manyora as he referred to the current relationship state of Kenya’s top men in office.

Manyora noted with great concerns the quietness of president Uhuru Kenyatta since he returned from China.

The president alongside former prime minister Raila Odinga were attending the China road and belt forum where they intended to acquire more loan.

The silence, Manyora said, could be another tactic by the president to shock Kenyans on who he would support come 2022.

The analyst based his assumption on the new relationship and bromance between president Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

“Ruto should be concerned because the silence could mean that Uhuru is planning a major move because moves made in silence and darkness are very dangerous,” said Manyora.

It’s likely that Raila Odinga may once again be on the Kenyan ballot papers and Uhuru Kenyatta might ditch his initial plan of supporting the DP. Until then, these are just but assumptions.

He was speaking on his Take It or Leave It YouTube channel, where he observed that being all alone in China for almost a week, Ruto should be very afraid of Raila and Uhuru’s plans.

He noted that Ruto is obviously in the dark on what they discussed, at a time when they have been seen close and in agreement on most issues, including the looming referendum bid.

“Uhuru and Raila were all alone in China, Ruto must be concerned, especially for a man who feels politically targeted,” he added.

Ruto and Raila are likely to battle it out for the presidential seat in 2022, with Uhuru appearing to have ditched his initial plan to back the DP as his successor.
