Opposition Party ODM is on the verge of losing another Top member in the form of Turkana County Governor Josphat Nanok.
Nanok seem to have fallen for DP William Ruto’s advances and has even promised to drum up support for him enroute to 2022 as he (Ruto) aims to takeover from President Kenyatta.
According to Nanok, the whole Country expects the Rift Valley Province to produce the next President and as such, with the help of other 13 governors from the region, they will do all that it takes to ensure that Ruto ascends to the Presidency.
He said that together with the people of Turkana, they are tired of being in the opposition.
His latest sentiments will come as a big blow to ODM that just initiated a process to clean it’s house in order to regain it’s lost glory.
ODM already lost Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa who joined Ruto’s camp and has been openly pushing for his Presidency.
The Party is yet to make a statement on Governor Nanok’s latest move with what many see as a Precautionary move.
Nanok enjoys great support from the Turkana people and as such, ODM will have to trade carefully in the manner it handle’s this entire matter.
The Party is yet to reveal whether it would take any action against Mr Nanok.
Contacted about the latest development, ODM secretary-general Edwin Sifuna said the party had yet to receive any complaint against Mr Nanok.
