With the English Premier League Golden Boot being shared by Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted that he was shocked to learn the Arsenal forward had also won it.
Aubameyang capped his wonderful season with a brace in the final day against Burnley to take his league goals tally to 22 same as the Liverpool duo of Mane and Salah.
Mane also helped himself to a brace in the 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers but it was just not enough as Manchester City clinched their second successive title.
Speaking in a press conference after the win over Wolves, Klopp was shocked to learn that Aubameyang had also bagged the top scorer’s gong.
“Do we have the two top goalscorers, right? Oh, Auba scored twice again? At Burnley? Wow, I never would have expected that. How do they do that now, do they make three golden boots? Or everybody gets it for three months? So, all my players, eh?”
