Liverpool Chairman sends Klopp a message after missing the Premier League by a point

Liverpool missed the Premier League just by a single point to bag it a 19th time just one short of ManchesterUnited who have won it twenty times and currently struggling to finish position six in the League.

Although the Reds gave a good chase and competition it was not enough for them to get the trophy yet a worthwhile struggle for the te that has finished strong with 97point one short of the league winneresManchesterCity.

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner says Jurgen Klopp will be backed to go one step further and bring the title back to Anfield next season.

The joint owner of the Reds was speaking with pride after he watched the team, on the final day of the season, come up just short in an epic Premier League race with Manchester City.

But Werner hinted that there will be more signings this summer to improve the squad even further when he said: “We’re only going to get stronger. Ninety-seven points, it’s a remarkable year.

“We obviously didn’t win the league but we’ll be back next year and we’ve got a lot of motivation to win the league next year. I’m excited.”

Werner was there at Anfield with principal owner John Henry and took to the pitch afterwards to show his appreciation for the fans, who have driven Liverpool forward this season.

And the chairman believes the bond between the fanbase and the club will be a powerful factor in making the Reds finish on a high in Madrid in three weeks.

“The support was extraordinary. As Jurgen said, between the support on Tuesday and the way the team played on Tuesday, that was one of the great matches at Anfield. I look forward to a great match in Madrid,” he added.

“It has been a magical season. Obviously, we’re disappointed that we didn’t win the league but it was a remarkable season and the squad is exciting.

“I think that we’ve made a lot of friends around the world and I think we’ve done well by our supporters. I can’t say enough about Jurgen and all the talent on the field.”
