Governor Mike Sonko has unmasked a killing field that is Nairobi River just months after initiating a campaign to make the city tidy.

So far, the youth cleaning up the river have collected at least four bodies from the filthy Nairobi River which has in the past decades borne the brunt of industrial and human waste.

Nairobi County First Lady, Primrose Mbuvi initiated the clean-up of the river to ensure Nairobi becomes the clean city which it used to be at the time of independence.

Attention has shifted to Nairobi after it emerged that the riverside could be a criminal safe house where mass executions and assassinations take place.

In his report, Governor Sonko sympathized with the youth doing the clean-up exercise, urging police officers to help them harvest the bodies from the city River.

“These are some of the challenges my people have been encountering while conducting massive cleaning of Nairobi rivers. I have called the police from the neighbourhood and they are assisting my people to remove the body from the river,” said Governor Sonko.
