Sanchez, Pogba salaries causing ripples at Manchester United

Manchester United’s recent poor form and lack of team spirit has been directly linked with a dressing room row involving star players Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez.

The two key players are the highest paid at the club, and their bonuses, in particular, have become the reason for a row that has hit the team hard.

According to reports, the goal bonuses the two receive highlight the difference in salary and allowances at United, and have become the topic of discussion among many players.

Sanchez is said to be earning £500,000 a week and a further £75,000 for every goal he scores. He also takes home an extra £25,000 for each assist he creates.

Pogba, on the other hand, gets £50,000 per goal and £20,000 for every assist on top of his huge salary.

The huge incentives have become the reason why there have been wrangles in the team, and somehow explains why the two mercurial players battled over who would take a penalty against Leicester in August last year.

Manchester’s fortunes have dwindled in recent weeks, with the team unable to secure Champions League football after a disappointing end to the campaign.

They play Cardiff City in their last match of the season on Sunday evening.

during the Premier League match between Manchester United and West Ham United at Old Trafford on August 13, 2017 in Manchester, England.
