The Oliel hitmaker and namba nane rapper, Otoppizo has celebrated his late mother through his sisters. He thanked them for being there for him and playing the role of their mother.
He said; “Raising kids is not easy nor is it hard but it’s constantly challenging as they grow up,I’ve been lucky to have 2 Strong Black women in my life since the birth of my daughter, who have been with me in every step of that challenge.

Octo lost his mother back in the year 2003 when he was 15. Talking about his favorite song, Mama, he said that he sings for his mother; “A day can’t pass without me listening to it because it reminds me of where I came from and all the stuff that I went through and everything that my mum used to tell me.
To be sincere, that’s the best song in my record of like 20 songs. Everyday, I want to make her proud and just tell her that I am here and the family is doing okay. I just want to work hard because that’s what she told me to do and I hope she’s listening.”
