Nairobi County First Lady Primrose Mbuvi Set to Receive Award on Mother’s Day

Nairobi first lady, Primrose Mbuvi, is set to receive a Mother’s Honour Award at Light International auditorium  in the humanitarian category.

The awards have been organized by True Story Kenya in conjunction with other partners, who seek to recognize and reward mothers who play a vital role in society.

Ms Mbuvi has been selected for the award due to working with street families, providing towels to the needy especially inmates and those living in slum areas and helping to uplift their lives through socioeconomic interventions.

In doing this, Ms Mbuvi has reached out to over 200 street urchins and inmates, therefore, transforming their lives.

Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has been recognized as the pillar behind his wife’s work.

He will, therefore, be the guest of honour at the awards ceremony on the said day.

The fifth edition of the Mothers’ Honours Award Ceremony will entail 11 categories in which impactful mothers will be recognized.

The categories include; humanitarian services, women empowerment, education, media, enforcement of law and order, leadership and informal sector upgrading

The other categories are; sports, tourism and travel, special needs education and entertainment.

These awards play a vital role in encouraging mothers to help impact the society in different ways.
