African Mother in her full attire(funny)

Happy International Mother’s day to all our mums out there, we celebrate you. It is because of your care, love and caning that we’re now who we’re.

Our African mothers were the second in command from the mzee of the house. They were the generals and took command when the mzee was not  around

Right from our upbringing, they made sure that we had all we needed. In our childhood, they struggled to get the food and when they had it ready, they made us eat even by force.

We grew up believing that our younger siblings had been bought. Our mothers literally refused to tell us where babies come from but all the same, we later knew.

For any questions, we were asked, our mothers had a ready explanations for everything, no matter how we asked it

Our mothers always made sure that we always had enough to eat even when we wanted to eat food meant for our siblings after we had our own share.

Their discplining was on another level, they made a beating out of us in every available opportunity.

When receiving threats from them, we had the right to remain silent for anything we said could be used against us!

On Sundays, our moms always made sure we went to church, they used to awaken us early, clean us and even give us money for offering. But they would later ask the Sunday school teacher how much money we had given for the offering because we wanted some for sweets.

When we grew up and finished college, the mothers were there to celebrate us.

And even now when we’re busy hustling here in the city they still want to know how we’re doing. They are ready to receive our brides and see us marry and do well in life. Thankyou mama.
