Putting the best foot forward; EPL race as Brighton and Wolves stand before the Cityzens and Reds

The English Premier League is coming to a climax as all the ten matches get staged at the same time with the table-leaders, Manchester City and their runners up Liverpool get into their respective matches with their fingers crossed.

Manchester City stormed the league in record-breaking fashion last season reaching a historic 100ponts mark, the Citizens have been forced to demonstrate a different kind of mettle under constant pressure from a relentless Liverpool team.

They have for sure maintained their winning streak despite scoring less than two goals a game over the last 10 fixtures, with three of the most recent four victories secured via narrow 1-0 scorelines unlike in the last season where they were scoring an average of about three goals.

Their solid defence under the leadership of their super Captain Vincent Kompany should be more than enough to keep out Chris Hughton’s goal-shy outfit, which has only scored twice in nine matches while conceding in 10 of their last 11.

Defensive midfielder Fernadinho who has been instrumental in the squad is in doubt of starting prior to a health check while their playmaker Kevin De Bryune and Claudio Bravo will be missing in their last match of the season.

Despite all these The Cityzens are expected to give their all in a season’s run that has been too much pressuring as a result of the pressure from Liverpool who they lead by a single point.

After an incredible comeback against Barcelona, the Reds will be hoping for another miracle when they welcome the lethal restless biting Wolves to Anfield in Sunday’s final day of the Premier League season.

The Wolves have been an unpredictable side flooring all big teams but it is expected that Liverpool will take three points in the match having banked a win in their first leg match during Christmatch which ended 2-0 in favour of Liverpool.

They head into the final match day one point adrift of leaders Manchester City, who are overwhelming favourites to clinch the title by beating Brighton and clinch it a second time in a row being the defending champions.

The two leaders of the League have been battling it out for the better part of the second leg of the season with each team winning their matches and outdoing each other on the top.

None of the last seven meetings between these two teams has resulted in a draw but we cannot wish away them playing out a frustrating stalemate on this occasion.

It is expected that the missing duo Mohamed Salah and Firminho are going to make an appearance for their season’s last match but the presence of Andrew Robertson is in doubts prior to check up later to be conducted.
