Drama after foreigner resists arrest grabbing Kenyan police gun

Public uproar and debate has been awakened after a viral video showing a Chinese man being arrested by the police try to grab the gun from one of the officers.

Water Resources management Authority officials accompanied by police officers raided a factory in Ruiru.

The WARMA officials were on a mission to arrest the owner of the company after area residents complained that it was releasing chemicals into the nearby river.

When the Chinese man, who owns the tissue-paper making industry, was handcuffed he went berserk screaming incoherently.

It was at this moment that he tried to grab a gun in what seemed like he was threatening the life of WARMA boss Joe Mutambo, who led the sting operation.

Many have compared the way a Kenyan would be handled if he did that versus the way the Chinese will be handled by the authorities. Kenyans believe that the foreigner will probably walk free.

Some have even recalled recent police brutality on the protesting Paralympic team over their allowances when they demonstrated blocking the busy Thika Super Highway road.

A viral video as well portrayed how they were mishandled by the police sent to disperse them.

Many have now questioned the power of the Chinese in our own country.
