What is wrong with Baringo Senator Gideon Moi? Why must a man who is more than 50 years old mention his aging dad in everything he does?

On Thursdays, rumors started spreading like bush fire that Gideon was meeting Deputy President William Ruto at his (Ruto’s) Karen Home.

It is public knowledge that Gideon and the DP are like water and oil. A cat and a mouse will never sit in the same meeting anytime soon.

Gideon released a statement denying that he had met the DP anywhere. He said the information was being propagated by a wing of the political divide desperate to hoodwink Kenyans.

Now there is no problem with Gideon’s statement until he mentions his father. Why should he tell us that he was with his father? Who wants to know anyway?

“Must you mention mzee in everything you do, be independent my friend” Someone by the name Rotich asked the Baringo governor.

“But mzee is fine why should a grown-up man be spending quality time with his father. Don’t you have a family? A certain Chesulut asked.

Going through the comments, it is unlikely that you will find anything positive. Kenyans are just not happy with Gideon Moi.

“Hahaha keep spending the quality time with mzee hustler ako busy kutafta kura.”

“At least we made you come out of your father’s house. Father’s boy.”

“daddy’s boy, you have to mention your dad to remain relevant…. Chat Your Own way boss.”

Last month, Gideon shocked the country when he sat on his father’s chair during the burial of his brother Jonathan Moi. He also denied Mzee from attending the burial.

Kenyans have criticized him several times at the way he is treating his father like a small god. Anyone going to see the former President must do so in Gideon’s company.

Last year, Gideon denied Ruto the opportunity to see Moi despite the DP staying for hours in Kabarak. Kenyans are not happy with the arrogance of Mzee Moi’s lastborn who believes he must be President only because his father ruled the country for decades.
