Stop Sucking and start drinking

Whenever someone orders a beverage in a restaurant, they automatically receive a straw with their drink. Drinking cold coffee or juice with a straw is the most normal thing to do.

In fact, most kids develop the habit of sipping drinks with the straw because of the flavourful juice boxes. Nothing seemed more satisfying than poking the straw in the juice box to enjoy your drink.

You might think that drinking with straws will prevent you from teeth related problems, but this is not true. In fact, drinking from a straw can increase the chances of developing cavities. The sugar from your fizzy drink directly hits a specific area of the teeth, which can lead to erosion of enamel and cause tooth decay.

When we use a straw, we sip more than just the beverage. While sipping from the straw, a person also ingests excess of air which is called aerophagia. The air enters into the digestive tract causing gas and bloating.

If you are concerned about your wrinkles then immediately stop using straws. Drinking juices from a straw on a regular basis can cause wrinkles, especially around your mouth.

You are more likely to develop “pucker line”, similar to what smokers get from smoking cigarette. Due to regular pursing of lips, the collagen near your mouth breaks down, causing permanent skin crumple.
