Ex Huddersfield manager David Wagner get a job nearer home Schalke 04

David Wagner has been confirmed as the new Schalke boss.
The German returns to his native country after he was sacked by Huddersfield last season.

The end of the season comes with a lot of player movements more than the managers. Wagner takes over at Schalke with the Bundesliga club floundering down in 15th.

Wagner took a break from the game after he left the Terriers by mutual consent on 14 January this year.

The German joins Schalke on a three-year deal and replaces interim boss Huub Stevens who took over when Domenico Tedesco was sacked in March.

Schalke are 15th in the Bundesliga after a difficult campaign but are safe from relegation with two games to play.
