Nairobi Speaker of the County Assembly Beatrice Elachi has come out hitting at Deputy President William Ruto for defending corrupt legislators.
According to Ms Elachi, corrupt individual should not defend themselves using DP’s name and DP Ruto should stop defending corrupt people if at all he is looking for presidency.
“If you are corrupt stop using DP as your defence, All corrupt individuals are coming to you, why are you defending them.” Said Elachi
In addition, she said that corruption has led to unemployment among the youth and lack of development in the country.
She further added saying that public funds should be respected no matter the situation.
Her remarks came after DP Ruto defended Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititu following his shocking budget which saw the county allocate unrelated activities that were irrelevant to the country.
