Ruto Promises to Teach Kipchumba Murkomen A Lesson

Do we all remember the bet between Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and comic group Propesa?

Well, the two made a bet enroute to Gor Mahia’s historic game against Everton in Goodison Park, Liverpool.

Murkomen said he was supporting Gor Mahia while Propesa went the Everton Way.

Everton would the thrash Gor 4-0 to clinch the SportPesa cup.

Propesa had said that if Gor Mahia won, he would supply game kits and balls to five schools of Murkomen’s choice.

“I want us to have a bet with you Mheshimiwa, if Everton wins I want you to choose ten schools where you will take balls to develop young talents,” Propesa said.

However, after the defeat, Murkomen backtracked his promise stating that he was coerced.

Murkomen said that Propesa had ambushed him in a hotel and had not given him time to think through.

“You ambushed me in a restaurant and you mobilised people and you purported to have agreed with me in some bet, I want to make it clear that I am talking to my lawyers,” he said.

Well, Over over 6 Months later, the matter has now reached Deputy President William Ruto who has promised to help Propesa recover their debt from Murkomen.

Ruto has promised to deal with Murkomen and even Promised Propesa that he will pay the debt should Murkomen default one more time. (Watch Video Below)

DP Ruto and Propesa met at his Karen office when the DP hosted a number of comedians and online content creators to discuss ways of improving the industry even further.

Ruto said that the Government is building an enabling environment for content creators to do their thing, especially in the digital space, which is key to creating jobs; enriching local media programming; promoting talent and enhancing the creative economy.

They also took time to Promote the upcoming clash between Everton and Kariobangi Sharks in Nairobi with both Ruto and Propesa confirming they will be present at Kasarani.
