Ole Gunnar And Woodward Fight Over Paul Pogba’s Future

Manchester United midfielder Pogba initially excelled when Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho in December, but his form, along with the teams has fallen away.

That has led to continued talk that Pogba will try and explore a way out of Old Trafford this summer and that has apparently led to a clash opinion between Solskjaer and executive vice-chairman Woodward.

ESPN claim that Solskjaer, who has insisted he has the final say on transfers, is happy to sell Pogba, if the France World-Cup winner wants to move on this summer.

Woodward though is not keen on losing the 26-year-old Pogba, who was an £89million signing from Juve in 2016.

It’s understood United plan to make as many as five signings at a cost of more than £200million this summer and Solskjaer insists he is in control of who will come in.

“I’ll have a final say if a player comes in or goes out,” said Solskjaer. “We’ve got regular meetings, I’m happy with the way it’s going,” he said over the weekend.

And according to a recent report in the Daily Mirror, the fact that every United player will now have their basic salary reduced by a whopping 25 per cent may push Pogba towards the exit door.

Not only will he see his weekly wages cut to £225,000, but he also stands to lose out on a massive £1.8million bonus.

The Daily Mail has also stateed that the World Cup winner earns the yearly bonus every time United qualify for Europe’s premier cup competition, so their latest setback will come as a massive blow to the 26-year-old.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane remains keen on bringing the former Juventus star to the Bernabeu this summer, while Pogba himself admitted recently that it would be a “dream” to join them.

Will a wise decision be made at the end?
