A recent video by comical group the Propesa that went viral showing them in the Company of Deputy President William Ruto demanding that Elgeyo Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen honour a bet they had last year has finally caught the attention of the Senator.
In the Video, Propesa were complaining to DP Ruto that Murkomen was yet to honour an agreement they had last year with regards to the SportPesa Supercup Match between Gor Mahia and Everton.
According to Propesa, the 2018 bet involved Propesa wagering to donate balls to ten schools should English side Everton lose to 17 time Kenyan Premier League Champions, Gor Mahia.
Buoyed by the home crowd at Goodison Park, Everton convincingly dismantled Gor and registered a 4-0 victory.
Murkomen, however, later renounced his bet and declared that he will not honor it since he made it under duress.
Propesa went to seek Ruto’s help with the DP promising to help them get their debt paid by Murkomen failure to which he (Ruto) will settle it himself.
Murkomen has finally responded to fresh call that he honours his part of the bargain with the Propesa.
In a tweet, Murkomen stated that Itumbi,who was also leading calls for him to settle the debt should ‘call polis’
In another post directed at Propesa, Murkomen tweeted that he will not be intimidated.
His comment on the matter follows a similar drive by Deputy President William Ruto who posted on Facebook that the Senate Majority Leader ought to settle the wager he made in 2018.
“Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, lipa deni ya Propesa. Dawa ya deni ni kulipa, my friend,” read the post on DP Ruto’s Facebook page.
