Kalonzo-Kibwana debate ends messy as MCAs engage in hurting fight

The 2022 debate over who will be the next Kingpin of Ukambani region has continued to elicit a mixture of reactions.

Hon Kalonzo Musyoka and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana are the top leaders triggering a political tension in Ukambani.

Due to this two of Makueni MCAs engaged in a fight that saw one of them rushed to hospital.

The fist fight involved Wiper nominated MCA Urbanus Wambua alias councilor Kana and his Kasikeu counterpart Julius Monari Tangai.

The nominated member was seriously hurt in the incident and had to be rushed to a private hospital in Wote town.

The two are said to have differed when Tangai criticised the area Women Representative Rose Museo for questioning why the Nominated MCA’s had been kicked out of a retreat held at the Panafric hotel in Nairobi.

“I only stood to respond to claims that Museo had no authority to address matters assembly only to find myself cornered and getting rained blows by elected members led by Tangai. They really beat me up especially on my left hand which I was using to defend myself,” Wambua stated.

But the root cause is the battle Hon Kalonzo Musyoka and Governor Kivutha Kibwana.
