Klopp Claims Barça Game “Should Be A Football Party” As Reds Seek Famous Comeback Win

Jürgen Klopp is banging the drum ahead what could potentially be another legendary, unimaginable comeback if we can turn the tie around tonight against Barcelona at Anfield.

Speaking to his press conference ahead of tonight’s clash, the German boss declared that we need to create “an atmosphere, using the atmosphere and celebrate the situation with good football. It should be a football party.”

Unfortunately, we also have to invite gatecrashers Luis Suárez and Philippe Countinho to our Anfield shindig and keep them both quiet during the festivities. The Reds have the formidable task of overturning a 3-0 deficit from the first leg if we want to reach back-to-back finals, and our ninth European Cup showdown, by making it to Madrid on 1st June.

least – so we should then celebrate it with football. That’s the plan.

“It’s possible and a little bit likely that it will be the last Champions League game for this campaign, so let’s celebrate it with our legs, with our lungs, with good decisions, with a sensational atmosphere and all that stuff. Then we will see what’s the outcome.”

Despite having the odds stacked against us with Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino ruled out – and needing to score three or more without reply – Klopp has insisted that neither he, nor his players, nor the fans inside Anfield, will be deterred by the job.

“I will imagine the place will be rocking before we score already, to be honest. That’s what I expect. If we can score, that’s how it is.

“But look we not only have to score, we have to deny Barcelona from scoring and it doesn’t happen too often that Barcelona doesn’t score at all”, he added.

“We know about how big the challenge is. This team is just so wonderful that they will try, we all will try, 100 per cent.”

With a mountain of hope, the Kop urging the team on, and a mammoth effort from the lads who are available for the second leg, we’ll all be hoping that we can amend the missed chances of the first leg at Camp Nou and make it back to Spain for the final in Madrid.
