Cup of Tea That Might Raise Enough Money To Empower W.Kenya Women

There is a small charity working with a Kenyan NGO to educate girls, emower women and transform communities in rural western Kenya.

It’s name is Team Kenya, and they are on Twitter with the handle @team_kenya. Their chief operating officer is Helen Whitefield and together with her team members have quite a visionary idea for women in Western Kenya.

In an interview, Helen Whitefield had this to talk about her small impact project in Western Kenya: “We are really pleased to help Team Kenya by hosting this event. Gender diversity is very important to us and we demonstrate that commitment throughout our business.

“We are also passionate about education and we have been involved in a number of initiatives with schools in the region and most recently with the new North East Futures UTC in Newcastle. This is a brilliant charity and I would encourage businesses to get involved.”

The event will give anyone interested the opportunity to hear about the life changing work of Team Kenya and how their business could take part in the challenge.

Team Kenya is a leading North East based charity for educating girls, empowering women and changing lives in rural Kenya. Their vision is for every girl in Kenya to have an equal chance to achieve her potential and be free from poverty. They do this by involving entire communities in Ndhiwa, rural Kenya in gender equality, so that girls in can create their own bright futures.
