Barcelona out in Anfield to cement a final spot in the UCL

Spain giants and Laliga winners this season, Barcelona landed in England ahead of their clash with English title contenders Liverpool at Anfield in a match that is expected to take place today from 2200 hrs.

It is expected that Barcelona is going to win the match considering the first leg outcome where it ended in favour of the hosts who was three times on target although Liverpool gave them a hard time.

It has never happened before that a team should equal or have a higher possession than Barcelona at their home ground especially when it is a team from England which is what Liverpool did.

Although Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp says he going to give the visitors a shock of the season, it’s going to be a hard come one if it is to happen considering that some of his reliable players are in doubt to feature in action tonight.

Liverpool will be welcoming two of their former players, Luis Suarez and Coutinho back home. Suarez left the club in 2014while Coutinho left last season.

Luis Suarez was first on the score sheet for Barcelona during the first leg and was highly criticised by Reds fans for his celebration of the first goal.

He has since apologised for the same and vowed not to celebrate should he score in their match today.

The lethal duo of Mohamed Salah and his Brazillian counterpartFirmino are already confirmed absentees to feature in the game after picking injuries.

Mohamed Salah was insisting to be involved in today’s match but his manager has said that he is not going to risk the Egyptians life who picked a head injury against Newcastle in a do or die game that Liverpool won late.

Barcelona on the other side come in their minds knowing that they lead with three goals an addition would be hitting a finishing nail to Liverpool thus will inflict more pain by getting a goal the fast and possible they can.

The Catalans will have to work on their possession to make sure that they don’t lose the ball easily bearing in mind that their rivals are good at the same and are at home with thousands of supporter.

A win for them would be booking to the finals against either Ajax or Tottenham who play tomorrow in Amsterdam in the other semi-finals where the hosts are leading by a goal.
