As Salah tried to win a header in the box, Dubravka clattered into the Egyptian star.

Earlier in the game, Salah had scored Liverpool’s second goal in what proved to be a nail-biting 3-2 away win.

During his interview, Dubravka told his account of the collision with Salah. The Newcastle goalie said:

“I don’t know if he was out for five or six seconds because Fabian (Schar) asked him if he was all right and he didn’t answer him. So at that moment, we were a little bit scared if he was OK.

I felt sorry for him but I was just focused on the ball. Sometimes you can’t watch everything. I didn’t hit him with my hand, I didn’t punch him. It might have been my hip. I wasn’t sure if it was me or someone else.

But I went to him to say sorry. I wasn’t trying to injure him. I’m not that kind of guy.”

While Jurgen Klopp believed that Salah will be fit for Barcelona match, doctors from England have recommended the player must be rested for six days before assuming play.
