Police Finally Arrest Serial Abortionist after Dodging Dragnet for Years

Police in Bomet are a happy lot after they nabbed a serial abortion expert in the county after pursuing her for a long time.

The 50-year-old woman has been on the police radar for a long time, with the cops saying the woman has managed to dodge several arrests and possible prosecution due to lack of evidence.

Sunday, the woman was arrested alongside a Form Three girl who schools in Nakuru.

Police say the schoolgirl had travelled from Nakuru to Bomet to seek the assistance of the abortionist to terminate her six-month pregnancy.

We ambushed them in one of the home at Motigo village in Bomet and found that the girl has already paid Ksh.2,000 for the service, she was still having a pending Ksh.500 in order for the services to be rendered,” said Bomet Township Chief, Reuben Ngetich.

The chief said the woman had been having a couple of girls lining up in her home to procure abortions, but they have been at pains to secure evidence implicating the elderly abortionist.

“We are now glad to have the evidence,” he said.
