Paralympics team stage protest at State House

The Kenya Paralympics team have fulfilled their vow of staging a big protest on Monday if the government would not have paid their allowances and they have done demonstrated at State House following their desperation to be heard.

The team was earlier kicked out of a Nairobi hotel they were staying in due to unsettled bills.

The government has failed to award them their dues despite having won 42 medals when they represented the country in Morocco for qualifiers to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

The team came home with 11 gold, 14 silver and 17 bronze medals.

Last Thursday, the team blocked part of the Thika Superhighway causing a major snarl-up as they demanded their allowances.
