Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed Deputy President William Ruto’s comprehensive plan to stop ‘stone catapults’ from thriving in the 2022 general elections.

In a statement, Murkomen points out that Ruto has set out policies that will reduce the stakes of political competition, diffuse the spoils of political power and make it easier for various parties and factions to have a voice within the government.

“We came to a conclusion that election violence is most likely in winner-take-all systems where land is controlled by a small segment of society. If our side gets lucky to form the government, we will have no option but to welcome all people on board to have a share of the national cake” Murkomen said.

“Losing can mean poverty for opposition followers as it has been witnessed in the country. We are determined to equitable sharing of economic resources such as jobs, land, government contracts, and cash.

This will surely mute all the ‘stone catapults’ as they will have no reason to hover in the streets wasting useful energy” the Senator added.

Murkomen is known for fiercely defending the deputy president William Ruto from any perceived unwanted attacks. Recently, Murkomen together with Ruto’s PA and Soy’s Caleb Kositany were accused by Ruto’s one time friend Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki of being stumbling blocks and frustrating ‘others’ in the party.

Murkomen has so far not respond to these claims
