Ndaragwa Member of Parliament Jeremiah Kioni has come into Deputy President William Ruto’s defence after he defended the Kiambu governor’s ridiculous county budget.
While speaking in a Tv interview MP Kioni said that there was nothing wrong with the DP defending Waititu, as a matter of fact matters national government should be answered by national government and matters county sgould be answere by the specific county governor.
” I don’t see anything wrong with what was said by the DP. (Questions on) money spent by the national government should be answered by the national government. “
Kioni’s statement comes days after governor Waititu was grilled by the senate following the shocking Kiambu budget that saw unrelated activities allocated funds.
However Governor Waititu denied the claim that he knew about the budget saying that he was as shocked as anyone else.
“I want to believe that this report was not interfered with by anybody to put in those things so that when I come here I will be cornered the way you’re cornering me.”
The Kiambu County Government had allocated Ksh.58 million to Kenya-South Sudan advisory services and Ksh.804 million on Free Primary Education.
