Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger rebuffs Fulham attempts to offer him a managerial job

Arsene Wenger has been without a job since he exited Arsenal and has never hinted his next move and assignment. It is reported thought that he has been offered a job but has since snubbed it.

The former Arsenal manager has turned down Fulham’s advances to become their new boss for the second time.

Frenchman Wenger has been out of work since he left Arsenal last summer after 22 years in charge of the Gunners in which he won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups.

The Cottagers, who were relegated from the Premier League this season, originally approached Wenger in November after Slavisa Jokanovic was sacked.

But he rejected them with the west London outfit instead of having to make do with Claudio Ranieri who lasted three months before he was let go.

Scott Parker has steered the ship at Craven Cottage since February, but Fulham is hoping to appoint a big name boss this summer.

They attempted to sought after Wenger again but ‘Le Professeur’ once again brushed off the enquiry, according to the Daily Mail, with the former Monaco chief still weighing up his future.

If Fulham can’t find a suitable candidate to fill the dugout, they are prepared to stick with Parker which would make midfielder Tom Cairney who has confessed his love for the manager very happy.

“I’ve said for a long time that I think Scott has done an incredible job and, in my eyes, I think he is the right man for the job,” Cairney told Sky Sports.

“The way he has got us playing in such a short space of time, in the hardest league in the world, is a credit to him. I believe he is the man to take us forward so we’ll see.”

Parker is also desperate for some clarity on his future going into the summer.

He said: “Not just for me, as a club ahead of what’s going to be a massive year, we need to have a clear idea of what way we are going to go.

“We’re seven days away from ending the season and a lot of planning needs to go into next year. I’m sure it’ll come in due course.”
