The Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers Sunday cornered a man suspected to have stabbed a cobbler to death in a bizarre incident that left passersby shocked.
The Saturday evening incident left the 35-year-old cobbler gasping for his last breath after unleashing a deadly stabbing action on him in Mowlem Area.
Investigations carried out through the night of Saturday led the detectives into Mr Gidraf Mwangi Kangemi’s hideout.
Kangemi had fled the murder scene just moments after killing the cobbler.
Police also recovered a knife which is believed to have been used during the murder.
The suspect awaits being arraigned in court over the murder.
