Aisha Jumwa continues to make headlines day in day out with her unending attacks on the Opposition Party and anybody associated with it.

Well, all her recent rants are understandable given the manner with which the opposition outfit expelled her from the Party.

It is her recent actions that have however put her on the spotlight again and at the center of criticisms from a number of leaders and Kenyans who have argued that she embarrased herself thinking that she was silencing ODM’s Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

Ms. Jumwa grabbed the microphone from Mr. Sifuna and accused him of engaging in Politics at a Funeral Ceremony.

Aisha has faced a backlash from many Kenyans and leaders who have called her out for what many have termed a shameful act.

Some leaders from the Coastal Region have however seen nothing wrong with whatever Aisha Jumwa did.

Led by MPs Owen Baya (Kilifi North) and Michael Kingi (Magarini),the leaders have said that Aisha Jumwa stood up for what was right and that she defended the dignity of the Mijikenda Community in the process.

Mr Baya said “things have changed so we will now demand respect as Mijikenda leaders for the good of our people”.

“If you do not respect the Mijikenda community and its leaders, we will deal with you perpendicularly, horizontally and squarely. People have been messing around with our people for a long time but now things have changed” he added.

MP Kingi told off Mr Sifuna for bringing up party politics “at a funeral in Malindi, where Ms Jumwa was the master of ceremony, yet they have already expelled her”.

“There was no need for him to speak of how they expelled Ms Jumwa or the laws that were used. Aisha Jumwa is no longer an ODM member. What has helped her to cling to the party for a short time is the court.”

He added that Aisha Jumwa could not allow ODM through Sifuna to taunt her at her backyard.

“Nobody can allow a visitor to disrespect him in his own house,” he said.
