After abducting Cuban Doctors Alshabaab Raid Mandera Again, This Time For Food

Suspected al  Shabaab militants on Sunday morning raided a store in Hareer Hoosle in Mandera East and stole goods of unknown value.

Deputy County Commissioner Lawrence Omondi said the militants stole foodstuff during their raid.

The attack happens barely a month after the kidnapping of two Cuban doctors in the central business district on April 12. An operation to rescue them is still underway.

The question remains, what is this deadly group up to. After sorting their medical needs by abducting medical specialists, now they come for food? Are they planning something worse? Let’s leave that!

During the raid, the Alshabaab injured police and killed three cattle, 2 goats and one donkey in a heavy gunfire

The gunmen injured a National Police Reservist before killing three cattle, a donkey and two goats.

It’s alleged that the militants snatched two AK 47 rifles from the police reservists. No suspect has been arrested in relation to the incident.
