‘Asante Sana!’ Kenyans Praise Aisha Jumwa for Gagging Noisy Sifuna

Kenyans politicians should understand that the era of politicking in funerals is long gone. You can’t go someone’s home, when the family is mourning and start rants about your party.

Last weekend, during the burial of Jonathan Moi, politicians were asked to not to politicize the event and they behaved with decorum. JT’s burial will now be the benchmark of all high profile funerals.

On Friday, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna was given the mic to condole with the family of Mombasa Deputy Governor William Kingi, who had lost his dad.

Instead of sticking to the funeral, Mr. Sifuna decided to take chance to tell the mourners why ODM kicked out Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa, that is a very bad move since she was in Jumwa’s backyard.

Things escalated very fast as Jumwa, also known as the iron lady, snatched the microphone from the embattled ODM official and told him they can’t allow him to disrespect the dead and the Mijikenda community.

And now Kenyans have supported Jumwa, saying that she was right to snatch the microphone because the dead must be respected.

You can’t disrespect us when we are alive and come to our funeral to mock us when we are dead. What happened to respecting the dead? Ama that does not apply in Kenya?

Aisha Jumwa was controversially kicked out of ODM because of her association with DP William Ruto. You wonder why Raila has not been kicked out for being Uhuru’s PA?

Raila should also instill some vital political lessons into Sifuna. You can’t go attack a man at his backyard. It would have been so mature if he kept off the politics.

We hope Sifuna is safe now. The Kenyan boychild has developed a tendency to use an axe or commit suicide whenever he is humiliated. Please don’t try that MR. SG
