VIDEO: Policewomen to Face Punishment for Having Fun

Two policewomen attached to President Kenyatta’s Harambee office face disciplinary action after a video of the them sharing Easter messages surfaced online.

The two officers are said to have been dismissed from the service for having fun on Easter Monday.

What their offense is remains unclear, however, reports indicate they may not be back to their jobs.

The dismissal has sparked a heated debate after blogger Robert Alai shared the video purporting the officers had been relieved of their duties after the video got to the hands of their bosses.

Last week, Chief Inspector and 2008 Olympic Champion Asbel Kiprop threatened to commit suicide after lamenting over what he termed betrayal by police officers.

In a landmark ruling that got Kiprop banned for four years against competitive athletics, the inspector even called on the IAAF to “come and pick the medals hung on his house wall.”
