Singers DK Kwenye Beat and Hopekid were on the spotlight following claims by a 20-year old woman that the two gospel artistes sexually abused and infected her with an STI.
The woman claimed that one of the artists lured her from Nakuru into a threesome against her wish
Hope Kid came out for the first time to clear the air that the allegations were pure lies. He said that the reason as to why there was no case against them is because they were not guilty of raping the lady.
He said this in an interview which was conducted o a local TV station. Hopekid also said that he lost many friends who were close to him and he learned his lessons that gospel world is full of hypocrites.
He revealed that he was chased out of church a place where he could have been helped.
“ The gospel world is full of hypocrites!. “I was chased from a church, a place that should have offered me support and comfort. Gospel artists, except Timeless Noel, stopped picking my calls. In fact, I got more support from secular artistes.” Revealed hopekid
He also stated that artistes should be very careful about whom they let in because people are out for fame and money.
