Messi caught on the wrong before the masterpiece free-kick

Lionel Messi and his Barcelona attacking counterpart Luis Suarez were on point as they ensured that the host gets one leg into the finals of the Champions League with a second match expected next week.

The two lethal attackers exposed the reds defence every now and then leaving them looking like they were but on training forcing them to open up for the goals which were scored by the two.

Messi was lauded for producing a masterclass that helped Barcelona secure a 3-0 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League, but the Argentine also bent the rules to give his side the advantage at Camp Nou which as caught on camera.

Luis Suarez failed to show manners as he opened the scoring against his former club in the first half before Messi doubled Barca’s lead with 15 minutes remaining.

But Messi wasn’t done there as he completed Barcelona’s win with a sublime free-kick from over 30 yards out in the 82nd minute.

However, Messi and Barca clearly got away with one after the Argentine moved the ball a considerable distance from where Fabinho had initially fouled him.

While Suarez was arguing with the referee Bjorn Kuipers, Messi took the opportunity to move the ball more central to Liverpool’s goal, as well as a few yards closer.

Speaking after the game, Jurgen Klopp admitted that he was not happy with Barca’s players continuously disrupting Liverpool’s attack by winning cheap free-kicks. ‘They are obviously much more experienced,’ said the Liverpool boss.

‘You saw that in moments when they wanted to stop our rhythm, stuff like that, going down, all that stuff, but it’s part of the game and we cannot change that.’
